Policies & Procedures

Amar Bangla School is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-quality educational environment. This document outlines the policies and procedures that guide our operations and community expectations.
1. Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
At Amar Bangla School, the safety and wellbeing of all students are our top priority.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): A trained staff member is appointed to handle all safeguarding issues and coordinate with local authorities where necessary.

Staff Training: All staff receive regular training in safeguarding, child protection, and identifying signs of abuse or neglect.

Reporting Procedures: Any concerns are reported directly to the DSL, documented thoroughly, and acted upon appropriately.

Confidentiality: Student welfare is prioritized while maintaining necessary confidentiality.

2. Attendance and Punctuality Policy
Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for academic progress.
Expectations: Students must attend all scheduled classes—both in-person and online—and arrive on time.

Parental Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child’s timely attendance.

Reporting Absences: Absences must be reported on or before the day of absence with a valid reason.

Monitoring: Attendance is recorded daily. Persistent absenteeism will prompt parental meetings and intervention plans.

3. Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policy
We strive to create a respectful, nurturing environment for all.
Positive Behaviour Encouragement: Good behaviour is acknowledged through praise, certificates, and rewards.

Code of Conduct: Students must show respect to peers, staff, and the learning space. Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Anti-Bullying: Verbal, physical, or cyberbullying is taken seriously. All reports are thoroughly investigated and resolved swiftly.

Support & Consequences: Interventions include counselling, parental meetings, and, if necessary, disciplinary measures.
